HEADLINES
Lets welcome new member Nuno Vieira from Braga, Portugal before we discuss anything.
I remember last Monday as soon as I made the weekly challenge public, within minutes literally, I had the first contributions.
Guess who?
Mark Anderson, one of the member of elite Early Bird Club.
Do you also want to join the club? It is very simple, just drop us a line at perlweeklychallenge@yahoo.com.
I wanted to be the first contributor as I had solved both the tasks in Perl, Raku and Swift already. I am happy to have such an active member in the team. Let see if I can make it this Monday?
Bob Lied shared solutions to the Week #073 past the deadline. I always encourage members, if you have solved the tasks then do please share with us even if the deadline has passed. Don’t waste your hard work. I am happy Bob shared his work with us.
Even Roger Bell_West shared the blog for the Week #073 as well. I know how much time and effort it takes to write a blog. I am glad Roger shared the blog with us.
Welcome back Richard Park and thanks for sharing your inspiring video with us. You inspired me to do live video session solving the tasks in Perl.
We have newly joined member and a very dear friend of mine, Lance Wicks taking it a step further and doing live session on multiple platforms at the same time. Last week he streamed it on Twitter and Twitch TV. I would highly recommend you watch his live coding session if you are a Perl fan.
With so much live actions going on, how can I stay quiet?
So here is my live coding sessions for both the tasks in Perl.

I would like to talk about the support system behind the weekly challenge.
I have had many people who came forward to help me out. First help came from Kian-Meng Ang, our first Perl reviewer. Then came in Laurent Rosenfeld, our first Raku reviewer. They both carried the responsibilities for many many weeks. They both took a break after sometime. During this period, we had no one to review either Perl or Raku solutions. Members kept asking when we will have our solutions reviewed. This is when Ryan Thompson chipped in. He did both for few weeks and then focussed on Perl. Ryan also helped me reviewing the weekly tasks. Well he didn’t just stop there, he designed and created the Challenges page. Laurent Rosenfeld came back and helped with Raku reviews for few weeks while Ryan was focussing on Perl side. After a while, Ryan and Laurent took break from the routine. Again we had no one to review the solutions. We didn’t have to wait long, before Colin Crain offered to do Perl review. He has been doing great reviews. I have had many positive response from Team PWC. While we were waiting for Raku reviewer, Andrew Shitov came forward to help us. Andrew changed the whole style of code review. He does live review, where anyone can follow him live in action.
So as of today, we have Colin Crain and Andrew Shitov doing Perl and Raku reviews respectively. A very big THANK YOU to both from the Team PWC.
